These terms govern your use of this website. They are not the terms on which the studio supplies work — those are issued with your quotation, and are what govern a commission.

Enquiries do not form a contract

Sending an enquiry through this site does not create an agreement, reserve capacity, or oblige the studio to take on the work. Nothing described on these pages is an offer capable of acceptance. A commission begins only when a written quotation has been issued and accepted, on the terms accompanying it.

Journal and guidance content is not professional advice

The Journal discusses planning, listed building consent, conservation practice and the specification of joinery. It is written from the studio’s own experience and is intended to help you understand the questions, not to answer them for your building.

Every listed building and conservation area is governed on its own facts, and the responsible authority is your local planning authority or conservation officer. Do not treat anything here as legal, planning or structural advice, and do not rely on it in place of consent. Regulations change; articles carry the date they were written.

Drawings, prices and specifications shown here

Illustrations, drawings and descriptions on this site show the kind of work the studio undertakes. They are representative, not scaled, and not a specification. Any figure or specification that matters to you is the one written into your quotation.

Content and images

The text, photography, drawings and marks on this site belong to We Are Woodland or are used with permission. You are welcome to read, print and share pages for your own purposes and to quote briefly with a link. Reproducing the content commercially, republishing it as your own, or using the photography or drawings elsewhere without written permission is not permitted.

Using the site properly

Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain access to parts of it that are not public, submit anything false or unlawful through the enquiry form, or use automated means to harvest its content.

Links to other sites

Where this site links elsewhere — to a planning authority or a conservation body, for example — those sites are not under the studio’s control and it is not responsible for what they say.

Availability

The site is provided as it stands. The studio does not promise that it will always be available or free of error, and may change or withdraw any part of it.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, the studio is not liable for loss arising from your use of this website or from reliance on its general content. Liability in respect of a commission is dealt with in the terms issued with the quotation, not here. Nothing here affects your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.

These terms may be updated. They were last reviewed on 3 September 2026.
